Challenge Rules

The complete rules for No Ape November 2026. This version is locked: it will not change for anyone who has enrolled under it.

1. Campaign period

No Ape November runs from Nov 1, 2026, 00:00 UTC to Dec 1, 2026, 00:00 UTC. All times in these rules are UTC. Elsewhere on the site, times are also shown in your local time zone for convenience; UTC governs.

4Nov 22, 2026, 00:00 UTCDec 1, 2026, 00:00 UTC

The fourth checkpoint is nine days long so that the challenge ends exactly at the end of November.

2. Enrollment

Enrollment for the funded challenge closes at Oct 31, 2026, 12:00 UTC, before the challenge starts. After that, anyone can join practice mode, which follows the same checks but is not eligible for rewards.

To enroll you sign a message with your wallet to prove ownership, optionally choose a nickname, and agree to these rules. You may choose separately whether your nickname appears on the leaderboard.

Enrollment never requires buying $COPE, an entry fee, a donation, staking, a transaction that transfers assets, or your email, real name, or medical history.

3. Existing-wallet qualification

The challenge is designed for the wallet you actually trade from, not a newly created empty one. To qualify, a wallet must have:

  • at least one recognized Solana swap in the 30 days before enrollment;
  • no other enrolled wallet belonging to the same participant (one wallet per participant).

There is no minimum token holding or wallet balance. A wallet does not prove a unique person; see Fairness limitations.

4. What counts as trading

On your registered wallet, during a checkpoint, these are disqualifying for that checkpoint:

  • successful, recognized token buys or sells;
  • DEX swaps;
  • Pump.fun bonding-curve trades;
  • recognized on-chain perpetual trade executions.

These are not automatically disqualifying:

  • failed transactions;
  • unsolicited tokens and airdrops;
  • receiving COPE rewards;
  • ordinary SOL payments;
  • the ownership signature used to sign in.

Outbound transfers of tokens other than SOL go to review, because they could be used to move trading activity elsewhere. A review is not an accusation. Any transaction we cannot classify is marked Review required; we never assume that the absence of a recognized swap means no trading occurred. Eligibility is decided on finalized chain data only.

5. Coverage

Trades are recognized when your wallet signs a transaction through one of these programs and its balances change in both directions:

  • Jupiter
  • Jupiter (v4)
  • Raydium AMM
  • Raydium CLMM
  • Raydium CPMM
  • Raydium LaunchLab
  • Orca Whirlpools
  • Meteora DLMM
  • Meteora Pools
  • Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve
  • Pump.fun bonding curve
  • PumpSwap
  • Moonshot
  • Phoenix
  • OpenBook v2
  • Lifinity v2

Interactions with these programs always go to review, because deposits and order placement are not always executions:

  • Drift (perpetuals)
  • Jupiter Perpetuals
  • Jupiter Limit Orders
  • Jupiter DCA

Trading through a custodial bot or exchange account is not visible on your wallet. See Fairness limitations.

6. Where rewards come from

Rewards are paid only from funds actually received and committed to the COPE Challenge Fund:

  • 80% of net Pump.fun creator fees actually received, where the token’s fee configuration routes them to the project. The remaining 20% is retained for disclosed project operations.
  • 100% of contributions made specifically to the COPE Challenge Fund. Contributions to Project Support are separate and are not rewards.

The committed reward budget is divided 50% to checkpoint rewards and 50% to the Graduation Pool. There is no fixed payout and no guaranteed return. Every receipt and payout is published on Reward Transparency.

7. Checkpoint rewards

  1. Checkpoint rewards draw from a weekly reserve: the checkpoint share of committed funds, less amounts already paid.
  2. When a checkpoint closes and every review for it is resolved, its allocation is frozen: the available reserve divided by the number of checkpoints remaining, including this one.
  3. The frozen allocation is split equally among participants who passed that checkpoint. Shares are not weighted by balance or holdings.
  4. If nobody passes, that allocation stays in the reserve for the remaining checkpoints.
  5. Amounts are calculated in lamports and rounded down. Rounding remainders stay in the reserve. Network fees for payouts are paid by the fund wallet and are not deducted from your share.

If you trade during a checkpoint, you lose that checkpoint and full-month Graduation Pool eligibility. You can still qualify for later checkpoints if those periods are clean. Rewards you correctly earned earlier are never clawed back.

8. Graduation Pool

Participants who pass every checkpoint share the Graduation Pool equally. They also receive COPE Discharge Papers, a completion share card, and an optional public badge.

If nobody passes every checkpoint, the Graduation Pool is split equally among participants who passed at least one checkpoint. If no participant qualifies at all, the funds are held in a disclosed rollover reserve. There is no random draw.

9. Reviews and appeals

Transactions marked for review are examined by a person, who either clears them or upholds them as trading. Allocations are not frozen while a relevant review is open. You can see every review on your wallet in the COPE Portal and appeal any result there. Appeals receive a written response.

10. Fairness limitations

  • We observe your registered wallet only. You might trade elsewhere, and no system can promise complete detection.
  • A wallet does not establish a unique human.
  • Suspicious activity goes to review, with an appeal process.
  • Wallet monitoring uses public transaction history. Taking part is not anonymous or untraceable.

11. Privacy

Your detailed activity is private by default and shown only to you and reviewers. The leaderboard shows only a nickname and checkpoints passed, and only if you opt in. See the Privacy notice.

12. Changes to these rules

This version was locked when it was published. If a later version is ever needed, it will apply only to people who enroll under it and will be published here with its own version number. COPE is not healthcare or treatment; see Rehab Locations.
